VisionIT CEO David Segura has been elected to the board of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan
DETROIT, MI – David Segura, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of VisionIT and graduate of the University of Michigan is honored to become a board member of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan.
“I have wonderful memories of my time at the University of Michigan in the Computer Science program as well as being active in sports and student organizations.” Segura stated. “Over the years I have looked for ways to stay engaged and support the university including speaking at the Ross Business School on entrepreneurship to driving more top candidates to the university through my network. It is with great honor and excitement to work with such an accomplished group of fellow board members on initiatives that I deeply care about. This includes bringing more qualified & diverse students to U of M as well as supporting the alumni with resources in driving their success in their businesses and communities.”

Segura founded VisionIT over 20 years ago in Detroit Michigan. VisionIT now works and partners with some of the largest corporations in the U.S and globally. VisionIT is a global software development company, a preferred systems integrator within large enterprise customers, and a conduit for new technology through its Innovation Studio. VisionIT produces enterprise software through their delivery centers in the U.S., Mexico and the Philippines. These software products are VisionIT developed platforms including CareTrail in healthcare communication/collaboration. VisionIT is also a certified technology partner and reseller of software and solutions with SAP, Microsoft, Samsung, and OpenText.
Segura also serves as a board member of Stanford University’s Latino Business Action Network which has built the most extensive research on Hispanic businesses in the U.S. as well as a nationally recognized entrepreneurship program for high growth firms.
Segura is active in his local community and serves as a board member of the Detroit Regional Chamber, one of the largest regional chambers in the U.S. by revenue. Segura is also an advisor to eLAB Ventures, a venture capital fund operating in Silicon Valley and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
